New Zealand men will host Australia, England, the West Indies, and South Africa this summer
The New Zealand men's team will host Australia, England, the West Indies, and South Africa in a packed home season across multiple formats.
New Zealand is gearing up for a busy and exciting summer of cricket in 2025–26, with top teams like Australia, England, South Africa, and the West Indies set to tour the country. The women’s team will also be busy, playing white-ball series against South Africa and Zimbabwe.
The Blackcaps will start their summer with a three-match T20I series against rivals Australia from October 1. Then comes a white-ball series against England three T20Is starting October 18 and three ODIs starting October 26.
West Indies will arrive in November for a full tour. They’ll play five T20Is from November 5, followed by three ODIs starting November 16. The tour will end with a three-Test series, starting December 6.
On the women’s side, the White Ferns will be playing international cricket after the ODI World Cup (held in India and Sri Lanka until early November). Their home matches begin early next year with 14 white-ball games.
They’ll make history by hosting Zimbabwe for the first time in a three-match T20I series beginning February 25. That will be followed by three ODIs starting March 5, which are part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025–29.
Then comes a five-match T20I series against South Africa from March 15 to 25. These will be double-headers, where the women’s and men’s teams from both countries will play on the same days at the same venues. After that, the White Ferns will also face South Africa Women in three more T20Is from March 29 to April 4.
NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink said it was exciting to welcome a mix of teams and to host the first-ever series between the White Ferns and Zimbabwe. He highlighted the unique chance for fans to watch men’s and women’s matches back-to-back, and praised the strong schedule built around the two World Cups.
Fast bowler Kyle Jamieson called it a “marquee summer” and said the tough opposition would keep the Blackcaps on their toes. He’s looking forward to another three-Test series at home and hopes the fans will turn out in big numbers again.
