England clinch 3-1 series victory after St Lucia washout
England leave West Indies with a 3-1 T20I series victory after the final match of their Caribbean tour was washed out.
In the final and fifth T20I between West Indies and England Rain spoiled everything as teams was able to play only five overs in St. Lucia at the Daren Sammy National Cricket before the sky clears up. In these five overs Shai Hope and Evin Lewis started from they had left the other day in fourth T20I after completing their 136 opening stand. The hosts had quickly reached 44 without losing a wicket before heavy rain started, and play was called off a few hours later with no chance of continuing.
England had already secured a 3-0 lead in the T20I series, but the hosts claimed a consolation victory in the fourth match. However, the West Indies won the earlier ODI series 2-1.
England's next challenge will be a three-match Test series in New Zealand starting November 29, while the West Indies will continue their home season with two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is against Bangladesh, beginning November 22.
