The Capital playing on their home grass chose to bowl first. Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Shahbaz Ahmed got the ball rolling for Sunrisers as they put a massive total of 266 runs. A raging batting style was seen by Travis head as he smashed 89 runs off just 32 balls along with Shahbaz Ahmed’s unbeaten 59 runs. The Qila Kotla turned orange as Sunrisers’ openers knocked 125 runs in the first powerplay leaving the Delhi Capitals stunned.

With Jake Fraser-McGurk’s astonishing knock of 65 runs off 18 balls and Abhishek Porel’s 42, a ray of hope flickered the Arun Jaitely Stadium as the Capitals charged up to chase the massive target on board. If it were not for the fact that Delhi’s resilient efforts turned into a nightmare as Hyderabad's bowlers took charge. A class bowling spell was witnessed by T Natarajan as he took 4 crucial wickets along with Mayank Markande’s commitment. 

The Captain, Rishabh Pant, skillfully guided the team and maintained his composure to give an equal fight back and keep their winning streak alive. The locals were disheartened with David Warner’s health in question. Delhi being the heart of people left it racing for its fans as they got defeated with a difference of 67 runs.
