Namibia's Ruben Trumpelmann set the record for his team in the super over deliveries.
Ruben Trumpelmann from Namibia set the record in his T20 International as he became the first player to break two successive wickets in two deliveries in the Super Overs, against Oman in a T20 World Cup match in Bridgetown (Barbados) on June 3rd.
Additionally, Trumpelmann created the record with the best performance figures in the T20 World Cup history ever for his team. While the previous record of 3/17 was set against Scotland in the 2021 T20 World Cup he beat himself, which was held in UAE.
Namibia claimed a Super Over victory over Oman, securing a commendable win for their start in the T20 World Cup campaign. Namibia was brilliant mainly in David Wiese and the skipper Gerhard Erasmus, who slammed 21 runs in the one-over eliminator. At the same time, Oman could only gather 10 from the six bowled superbly by the experienced Wiese.
Specifically, Trumpelmann made the record at the age of 26 when he dismissed the Oman opener Kashyap Prajapati and Oman captain Aqib Ilyas for ducks on the first two balls of the match following Namibia’s decision to field first.
