Mumbai Indians' Dharamsala Trip Delayed Due to Operation Sindoor
IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians' travel to Dharamsala for their IPL 2025 match against Punjab Kings has been delayed due to the closure of the local airport amid heightened security. The May 8 fixture between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings will go ahead as scheduled.
Due to Operation Sindoor and the closure of airports in Chandigarh, the plans for the Indian Premier League 2025 have been disrupted. The Mumbai Indians were scheduled to fly to Dharamsala today (May 7) evening, but their flights have been cancelled. They are now waiting for further directions from the BCCI on what to do next.
In Dharamsala, two teams, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, are already present and set to play on May 8. However, with nearby airports closed, it’s important to think about how this may affect travel for both teams and if any changes need to be made to the IPL schedule.
The BCCI officials are currently having meetings to tackle these issues, and an update is expected soon. However, the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings on May 7 in Kolkata will still take place as planned.
