ICC Women's Cricket World Cup: The ICC has confirmed the dates and the venues for this year's Women's Cricket World Cup. The 13th edition of the World Cup will feature eight teams.

The ICC has revealed the schedule for the Women's ODI World Cup 2025, which will be hosted by India from September 30 to November 2. It's a special moment for Indian cricket, as the country is hosting the Women's World Cup after 12 years. Matches will be played in Bengaluru, Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, and Colombo.
Pakistan will not play its matches in India; instead, its games will be held at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The tournament will follow a round-robin format, with all eight teams India, Pakistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh competing against each other. In total, 28 league matches will be played, followed by two semi-finals and the final. India will kick off its campaign in Bengaluru on September 30. If Pakistan reaches the semi-finals or the final, those matches will also be played in Colombo. The final showdown will take place on November 2.
Big Expectations from India
With India playing on home turf, cricket fans are eager to see a strong performance from the team. Australia, the defending champions, have won the Women's World Cup seven times the most in history. BCCI is expected to announce India's captain soon. Indian fans are excited, and stadiums are likely to be packed with supporters.
Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Scheduled
Along with the ODI World Cup, the ICC also announced the Women's T20 World Cup 2026, set to take place in England. The tournament will run from June 12 to July 5, with the final happening at the iconic Lord’s ground in London. There will be 33 matches across seven cities, including Manchester, Leeds, Southampton, and Bristol. England will have the advantage of home conditions, but India, Australia, and New Zealand are expected to be strong title contenders.
This next year is shaping up to be an exciting time for women's cricket.
