BCCI Still Needs to Confirm India's Trip to Bangladesh in August, Says BCB President
India's tour of Bangladesh is in trouble as the BCCI has yet to confirm participation.
BCB president Aminul Islam has said that India’s cricket tour to Bangladesh in August is still not fully confirmed. The BCCI is waiting for approval from the Indian government before making a final decision.
Aminul mentioned that he has already spoken to the BCCI and the talks have been positive so far. He said, “We are hopeful the tour will happen as planned, but they are waiting for some decisions from their government.”
He added that if India cannot come in August, they will try to visit during the next available time. However, no exact reason was given for the current uncertainty.
“The discussions are ongoing, and even if they can’t make it in August, they’ve promised to come later. The BCCI has been very professional and cooperative,” Aminul said.
Back in April, the BCB had shared the planned schedule for the tour: three ODIs on August 17, 20, and 23, followed by three T20Is on August 26, 29, and 31. The matches were set to take place in Mirpur and Chattogram.
