T20 World Cup 2024: Ravi Shastri believes that Yashasvi and Shivam are powerhouses for the T20 World Cup.

Ravi Shastri has spotlighted the two Young left-handed players as a powerhouse for Team India.

There is not even a month left to kick off the year’s exciting tournament ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and experienced spectators are spotlighting the young Indian talent, which can’t be ignored. Ravi Shastri, the former Indian all-rounder and head coach is among them has identified two young left-handed players for the upcoming edition of the tournament, beginning from June 1st.

During the interview session with ICC, Ravi Shastri spotlighted Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube are can powerhouse for the squad during the tournament. And, does have good potential to regain the title of T20 World Cup.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, a 22-year-old left-hand batsman has already showcased his promising batting fever at the top order for the Team India in the T20 international. He is currently holding the strike rate of 161.93 runs in T20I with a century and four fifties. In the Current season of IPL 2024, Jaiswal is playing for Rajasthan Royals and already remarking his performance against any bowling attack on the pitch.

"Well, the two players you should anticipate, and both of them are left-handed, so are appearing for the first time at the World Cup." One is (Yashasvi) Jaiswal. Conversely, Ravi Shastri highlighted Shivam Dube's Capacities while playing against the spin bowlers. The 30-year-old all-rounder is in a very good shape for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. He can clear the boundaries easily. Shastri even jokingly mentioned that with his powerful hitting Dube could be seen hitting balls as far as Long Island into the small island.

He further added in an interview in the context of Shivam Dube- However, there’s someone in the middle order, take care of him since he is explosive, owns the match and wins the match. He smashes sixes for a living, and if you bring a spinner, he can destroy you. He’ll hit a few yardages off Long Island into the tiny island, that’s the level of player he is. He nails it, he nails it deep and, like I said, against spin he can be lethal.

There were some questions regarding Dube’s way against fast bowlers, but Shastri has shown belief that he will handle this. As stated by Shastri, Dube has taken care of all doubts and is set to play in the middle order for the Indian team.
