After an annual update to the ICC rankings, Australia replaces India as the No. 1 Test team

Australia is marked the No. 1Team in ICC Test Cricket Ranking after the manual records updations.

India stand behind Australia now who have become the top of the table in the Test Team ranking. The ICC changes the men's Test Cricket team ranking after the update on annual records, in which Australia has moved to the top of the points table. India, however, is still placed on top in the ODI and T20I standings.

The matches played only after May 2021 are now utilized or considered in the new ranking formula, thus dropping out India's 2-1 series win in Australia in December 2020-January 2021. Every result, from May 2021 to May 2023, is weighted at 50%, and after that, any matches played up to 12 months, it is weighted at 100%.

Hence, Australia (who also clinched the ICC World Test Championship last year are now on the top of the rung with 124, four points more than the second-placed Indian team (118) and ahead of the third-ranked English team with 105 rating points. This match in Chittagong will be India's next one-day international match whereas Australia will also play the next game only in November in Perth.

Despite the ranking updation, the rest of the team's positions are not changed and retain the same ones.

India Still Leads the ODI and T20

In ODI rankings, India, has increased their leading margin against Australia by six rating points (122 points of India and 116 of Australia),is in first place. South Africa is at third place are behind Australia by four points. Pakistan comes in fifth with 106, and New Zealand with 101 fill the top five ranks.

However, being at No. They leads the table in the T20Is with 264 points and their lead over Australia of 257 points has come down from 11 to 7 now.

However, the main advantage has gone to South African team, who moved up two places, from sixth to fourth, and are only 2 points behind England (252), who now occupy the third place.

On the other hand Pakistan dropped two places to seventh while Scotland pushed out Zimbabwe to be 12th.
