Williamson out of second Test vs India due to ongoing rehabilitation
Kane Williamson will miss the second Test against India in Pune as he continues his rehabilitation from a groin strain.
The former cricket player and Captain of New Zealand, will not be playing the second test match against India in Pune due to his ongoing rehabilitation from a groin strain. The news has been released on Tuesday (October 22 ).
He was also not able to play the opening test in Bengaluru as at that time he was getting over from the surgery that he got at the time of the Test series against Sri Lanka. He stayed in New Zealand and recovered from the injury and will rest until he fully recovers.
Now the New Zealand coach Gary Stead said that he really misses Williamson and hopes he will be available for the third test. By expressing he said that: they keep a check on him every time and he is in the right direction but right now he is not 100% well and they are hoping to see some more improvements in the coming day so, that he can be available for the third test. They are giving him as much time as required for him to get ready.
New Zealand won the first Test by 8 wickets, marking their first Test victory in India in 36 years. The second Test will start on October 24, and the third and final Test is scheduled to take place in Mumbai on November 1.
