West Indies ended their T20I series against Nepal with a dominant win in the final match at Sharjah on September 30. After losing the series in a surprising fashion, they bounced back strongly by bowling Nepal out for just 122 and then chasing the target in under 13 overs without losing a single wicket.
Nepal began confidently, with Kushal Malla and Kushal Bhurtel finding early boundaries and putting up 37 runs in the power play. However, once Jason Holder and Akeal Hosein dismissed both openers, Nepal’s innings quickly unravelled. Ramon Simmonds removed captain Rohit Paudel, and Gulsan Jha was run out, leaving Nepal at 85/4. The rest of the batting lineup collapsed under pressure, and Simmonds finished with four wickets as Nepal were bowled out in the final over.
In response, the West Indies got lucky on the first ball and made the most of it. Amir Jangoo and Ackeem Auguste launched a brutal counterattack. Auguste set the tone with a massive six onto the roof, and the pair powered their way to 30/0 in just three overs. Although Nepal briefly slowed the scoring, the West Indies openers exploded from the ninth over onward.
Jangoo reached his fifty with back-to-back sixes and finished the match with another big hit, while Auguste stayed unbeaten on 41. The chase was completed with 46 balls to spare, sealing a comprehensive win for the visitors.
