Squad Update: West Indies bring back Campbell for New Zealand ODIs; King left out
New Zealand vs West Indies: The three-match series starts in Christchurch on November 16, followed by games in Napier and Hamilton.
West Indies have brought back opener John Campbell for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Campbell returns after last playing an ODI in 2019, replacing Brandon King, who was dropped after scoring just 3 and 0 in the recent T20Is.
Fast bowler Matthew Forde, now fit again, is also in the squad after playing all five T20Is. Newcomers Johann Layne, who debuted in the Ahmedabad Test against India, and all-rounder Shamar Springer have also been picked.
West Indies Squad: Shai Hope (c), Ackeem Auguste, Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, John Campbell, Matthew Forde, Amir Jangoo, Justin Greaves, Johann Layne, Sherfane Rutherford, Jayden Seales, Khary Pierre, Romario Shepherd, Shamar Springer.
West Indies will miss several fast bowlers in the ODI series against New Zealand, as Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Ramon Simmonds, and Jediah Blades are all out with injuries.
