ICC Men's T20I Bowling Rankings: Indian Mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has claimed the top spot in the ICC Men's T20I bowling rankings for the first time in his career, becoming just the third Indian to achieve the position.
India’s Varun Chakravarthy has climbed to the top of the ICC Men’s T20I bowling rankings after standout performances in the Asia Cup 1/4 against UAE and 1/24 against Pakistan. At 34, he becomes the third Indian to reach No. 1, joining Jasprit Bumrah and Ravi Bishnoi. He overtakes New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy, who has held the top spot since March.
Sri Lanka’s Nuwan Thushara jumped six places to No. 6, while Pakistan’s Sufiyan Muqeem moved up to 11th. India’s Axar Patel is now 12th, Abrar Ahmed surged to 16th, Kuldeep Yadav climbed to 23rd, and Afghanistan’s Noor Ahmad sits at 25th.
On the batting front, India’s Abhishek Sharma remains No. 1 after explosive knocks 30 off 16 vs UAE and 31 off 13 vs Pakistan. England’s Phil Salt and Jos Buttler moved up to second and third respectively, with Salt smashing a record 141* off 60 balls and Buttler scoring 83 off 30 in a dominant win over South Africa
