Tridha Scorchers Defeat RPCA Shahi Dawat by 38 Runs
LSKCM T20 Trophy: Tridha Scorchers vs RPCA Shahi Dawat. Player of the Match: Dipansu Attri 48 (29) & 2 wickets
The match between Tridha Scorchers and RPCA Shahi Dawat was an exciting game, showcasing powerful batting, clever bowling changes, and standout individual efforts. In the end, Tridha Scorchers got a 38 runs win, thanks to a strong team performance that stood out in the tournament.
Tridha Scorchers lost the toss and were invited to bat first, and it didn’t take long for the fireworks to begin. Aditya opened with a bang, smashing 34 runs off just 16 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes. His aggressive intent gave Tridha the momentum right from the start. However, Yogesh Singh struck back hard for RPCA, picking up three early wickets, including Jatin and Ghanshyam, putting pressure back on the batting side.
But just as RPCA seemed to turn back into the match, Shivansh walked in and flipped the script entirely. With remarkable timing, composure, and controlled aggression, Shivansh anchored the innings and kept the scoreboard ticking. His unbeaten knock of 74 runs off 41 balls, decorated with 4 boundaries and 5 sixes, not only steadied the innings but propelled it forward at a rapid pace.
Adding to the fireworks was Dipansu Attri, who played a stunning cameo 48 runs off just 29 deliveries, smashing 3 fours and 4 massive sixes. The duo's partnership proved vital, lifting Tridha Scorchers to a colossal total of 215 runs at a run rate of 10.75 per over.
RPCA’s bowlers struggled to contain the run flow, with Ani conceding 63 runs in his 4 overs and Piyush Chikara going for 42. Only Yogesh Singh (4-0-32-3) and Parth Kumar Bali (4-0-34-2) managed to find breakthroughs, but the damage had already been done.
Facing a daunting target of 216, RPCA Shahi Dawat needed a blazing start and they got just that with Anish Gautam scoring a quick 18 and Yash Bhatia anchoring the top order with a well-made 46 off 35 balls, including 6 boundaries. However, wickets fell at regular intervals, halting the chase from gaining any real rhythm.
Vaibhav Rawal briefly reignited hopes with a fiery 30 off 15 balls, and later Dipansu (33 off 16) showed flashes of brilliance, trying to drag RPCA back into the game. A brief flurry from Anant Singh, who scored a quick 20 off 11, added to the drama, but it wasn’t enough to bridge the ever-widening gap.
The Tridha Scorchers' bowlers maintained composure and stuck to their plans. Madhav was superb with figures, applying pressure during the middle overs. Priyanshu Chaudhary bowled a miserly spell as well, giving away just 13 runs in his 3 overs and picking up the important wicket of Parth Bali. The bowling highlight, though, came from Dipansu Attri, who capped off a brilliant all-around day by picking up 2 wickets in just one over, dismissing key players and turning the tide completely in Tridha’s favour.
RPCA ended their innings at 177/8 in 20 overs, falling short by 38 runs despite a spirited chase.
