It was a master comeback by Oman's players as they managed to pull a game against Namibia to the first Men's T20 World Cup Super Over it was the best effort by the Oman team to win the game but David Wiese's performance in the t20 world cup match overpared the team efforts of Oman. The performance he showed in the game was outstanding he took 3 wickets in the game and even in the Super Over he shone like a bright star alongside Gerhard Erasmus Namibia's Captain.
Wiese 9 off 8 balls took the team to the super over, where he came out to bowl with Erasmus. Oman preferred to rely on their strike bowler Bilal Khan, who got them into this situation in the first place, instead of going with Mehran. Bilal started with a wide yorker that felled Wiese after point for four. He then tonked the full toss for six over long-on before Erasmus hit the 21-run over with two consecutive fours. Wiese still wasn’t done for the day as he returned well to save that run and dismiss Naseem Khushi. His mix of yorkers and change of pace slowed down Oman, who were limited to 10 runs.
