South Africa Wins Thanks To Bowlers And Markram's Performance
Aiden Markram led the way with an unbeaten 69 in 67 balls
In the third and final ODI in Sharjah South Africa Bowlers gave a great performance together that also led to an excellent batting display which makes them win against Afghanistan. As they have lost the series they made a great start with the ball and were able to take two wickets in the starting 10 overs and get in control of balling.
Even though there were two losses, Rahmanullah Gurbaz played well, hitting boundaries often. After scoring a century that helped Afghanistan win a historic series, he continued to hit sixes easily. However, after the third wicket fell, South Africa quickly took down the middle order.
Gurbaz was playing well, but Afghanistan suffered from unnecessary runouts. Eight players got out with scores under ten. Gurbaz hit four sixes and was close to another century but got out for 89. Afghanistan only managed to score 169 runs, with 16 overs still remaining.
South Africa aimed for a consolation win and started cautiously. The top three batters got decent starts but didn't convert them into big scores, leaving the team at a shaky 80/3. However, Markram and Tristan Stubbs steadied the innings. Rashid Khan's absence made it easier for them, and they batted comfortably through the middle overs.
Markram hit three sixes, including two in one over from Mohammad Nabi, and reached a solid half-century. Stubbs supported him well, and together they added an unbeaten 90-run partnership to finish the game.
South Africa 170 for 3 (Markram 69*, Stubbs 26*, Fareed 1-17) beat Afghanistan 169 (Gurbaz 89, Ghazanfar 31, Phehlukwayo 2-17) by seven wickets
