Captain Suryakumar Yadav tried to pull things back with a fighting 54 off 34 balls, but his wicket in the 4th over at 32/3 made the chase even tougher.
Tilak Varma played the most impressive knock of the innings, scoring 62 off 34 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. He got some support from Axar Patel (21) and Hardik Pandya (20), but once Hardik was dismissed in the 15th over, India completely lost control. The lower order collapsed badly, losing four wickets for just five runs. India was eventually bowled out for 162 in 19.1 overs, falling well short of the target.
