South Africa Beat India by 3 Wickets in a Close Match

South Africa defeated India in an exciting match that went down to the final overs. After winning the toss, South Africa decided to bowl first. India made a strong total of 251 runs, thanks to a brilliant knock from Richa Ghosh, who scored 94 runs from 77 balls.

However, South Africa showed great fight in their chase. Laura Wolvaardt played a calm innings of 70 runs, and later, Nadine de Klerk played a stunning knock of 84 not out from 54 balls to take her team home with just seven balls left.

India’s Innings

India had a good start as Pratika Rawal (37) and Smriti Mandhana (23) gave them a steady opening. But soon, wickets began to fall regularly, and India was struggling at 102 for 6.

Then came Richa Ghosh, who batted beautifully and changed the game. She smashed 94 runs off 77 balls with 11 fours and 4 sixes. Sneh Rana also played a handy knock of 33 runs, helping India reach 251 before being bowled out in the last over.

For South Africa, Chloe Tryon was the most successful bowler with 3 wickets for 32 runs, while Marizanne Kapp and Nonkululeko Mlaba took 2 wickets each.

South Africa’s Innings

South Africa didn’t have the best start as they lost early wickets and were 18 for 2. But captain Laura Wolvaardt stood strong and scored 70 runs from 111 balls, keeping her team in the game.

Later, Nadine de Klerk played an incredible innings under pressure. She smashed 84 runs not out from just 54 balls, hitting 8 fours and 5 sixes. Her powerful batting helped South Africa reach the target in the 49th over and win the match by 3 wickets.

For India, Sneh Rana (2/47) and Kranti Goud (2/59) were the best bowlers.
