Satyam’s Power-Packed 92 Guides Team BBC to Narrow 9-Run Win Over Tridha Scorchers
LSKCM T20 Trophy: Tridha Scorchers vs BBC. Player of the Match: Satyam Sangu
In an electrifying clash at the 1st Late Smt. Kiran Chopra Memorial Tournament, Team BBC edged past Tridha Scorchers by 9 runs in a high-scoring thriller. Both sides delivered strong batting performances, but it was Satyam’s explosive 92 off 50 balls that proved to be the difference as BBC posted a daunting total and successfully defended it in the final over.
Team BBC Innings:
Opting to bat first, Team BBC unleashed an aggressive approach right from the start. While the top-order had mixed results, it was Satyam who stole the spotlight with a breathtaking knock. His 92-run blitz included 9 boundaries and 4 sixes, scored at a fiery strike rate of 184.0, anchoring the innings beautifully.
Supporting him was Pankaj Dhwan, who added quick runs with a 15-ball 31, smashing 3 sixes and accelerating the run rate in the death overs. BBC eventually finished at a strong 201/8 in 20 overs, setting a challenging target for the Tridha Scorchers.
For Tridha, Priyanshu Chaudhary (2/36) and Ayush Chaudhary (2/24) were the standout bowlers, keeping things in check during key overs. However, the rest of the bowling unit struggled to contain the BBC batters, especially during the middle and death overs.
Tridha Scorchers Innings:
Chasing 202, Tridha Scorchers had a shaky start, losing their top three batters Kavya Teotia (2), Prashant Chahat (2), and Dipansu Attri (1) early in the innings. Following him, Chetan (54 off 29) and Honey Yadav (48 off 21) stitched together a thrilling middle-order recovery, keeping Tridha well within reach of the target. Their aggressive stroke play reduced the required run rate significantly, with the match hanging in the balance.
Yuvraj Singh Nagar, who turned the game on its head with a brilliant bowling display. He picked up 4 wickets for just 27 runs in 3.3 overs, whereas Aarush Goel delivered a match-winning all-round performance and took 2 wickets in just 3 overs.
