The 39-year-old Zimbabwe veteran star Sikandar Raza has achieved the number one all-rounder ranking in ICC Men’s ODI, with consistent performances with both bat and ball during the series against Sri Lanka.
Zimbabwe’s star all-rounder Sikandar Raza has reached a major milestone by becoming the No. 1-ranked ODI all-rounder in the ICC rankings for the first time. His strong performances in the recent series against Sri Lanka scoring 92 and an unbeaten 59, along with a wicket helped him leapfrog Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi, who now sit at second and third respectively.
There’s also a new leader among ODI bowlers. South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj has taken the top spot after his impressive 4 for 22 against England in Leeds. He moved ahead of Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana, who had previously shared the No. 1 position with him.
Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka, who was named Player of the Series against Zimbabwe after scoring 198 runs, has climbed seven places to 13th in the ODI batting rankings. His teammate Janith Liyanage jumped 13 spots to 29th, while Zimbabwe’s Sean Williams moved up three places to 47th.
In the T20I rankings, Afghanistan’s batters made big moves after wins against the UAE and Pakistan in the ongoing tri-series. Ibrahim Zadran rose 12 places to 20th, while Sediqullah Atal made a massive leap up 346 spots to 127th thanks to his recent performances.
Pakistan also saw several players improve their T20I rankings. Hasan Nawaz is now joint-31st among batters. Among bowlers, Sufiyan Muqeem climbed to 22nd, Shaheen Shah Afridi moved up to 26th, and Mohammad Nawaz rose to 43rd.
