Rajendra Nagar Royals delivered a commanding performance to defeat Indrapuram Strikers by 54 runs. It was a complete show of power with both bat and ball, leaving no chance for the Strikers to bounce back.
Royals’ explosive batting:
The innings got off to a flying start with Abhijeet Sharma smashing 49 runs off just 23 balls, hitting 4 fours and 5 sixes. His aggressive knock gave the Royals the perfect momentum. Support came from Hitesh Sharma (17) and Vikash Singh (15), but the highlight was Prateek Raman’s classy unbeaten 62 off 35 balls. He anchored the innings superbly while Harshit Sethi added a handy 30 runs. Thanks to their efforts, the Royals posted a strong total of 183 runs in 20 overs.
Strikers stumble in the chase:
Indrapuram Strikers began with a quickfire knock from Nitin Bisht, who blasted 24 off just 8 balls. But once he fell, the team struggled to build partnerships. Arvind Verma (14) and Karan Yadav (14) showed some fight, yet no one could carry the innings forward. Despite late resistance from Shivraj Nigam (17*) and Lakshay Bhardwaj, the chase fell flat as Strikers were restricted to 129/9 in 20 overs.
Royals’ disciplined bowling:
The bowlers executed their plans brilliantly. Lokesh Nagar was outstanding, taking 2 wickets for just 9 runs in his spell. Harshit Sethi also impressed with figures of 2/17, while Kushagra Sharma, Nitin Nagar, Rocky Nagar, and Aryan Chaudhary chipped in with one wicket each. Their collective effort kept the pressure on throughout and ensured Strikers never found momentum.
