Radha stands out in rain-hit India vs Bangladesh match
India vs Bangladesh ended without a result due to rain, but Radha Yadav impressed with 3 wickets as Bangladesh posted 119/9 in 27 overs. India reached 57/0 before the match was called off.
The Women's World Cup match between India and Bangladesh ended without a result due to rain, but not before India’s bowlers—especially Radha Yadav—put on a strong show.
Bangladesh were asked to bat first in a shortened 27-over game. They struggled to build partnerships and finished with 119 runs for 9 wickets. Sharmin Akhter was the top scorer with 36 runs, while Sobhana Mostary added a quick 26. Captain Nigar Sultana managed just 9 before being run out.
India’s bowlers kept things tight. Radha Yadav was the standout performer, taking 3 wickets for 30 runs in her 6 overs. Shree Charani also impressed with 2 wickets, while Renuka Singh, Deepti Sharma, and Amanjot Kaur picked up one each.
India began their chase confidently, reaching 57 without losing a wicket. Smriti Mandhana looked in great touch, scoring 34 off 27 balls with six boundaries. Amanjot Kaur supported her with 15 runs off 25 balls. However, rain interrupted the game before a result could be reached.
Despite the washout, India will be happy with their bowling performance and the solid start in the chase. Radha Yadav’s spell was a major highlight, showing her skill and control in tricky conditions.
