Prabhsimran, Iyer, and Parag lead India A to a series victory

India A vs Australia A: Prabhsimran Singh's blazing 68-ball 102 runs, followed by fifties from Shreyas Iyer and Riyan Parag, powered India A to a thrilling two-wicket victory over Australia A in the third and final unofficial ODI.

India A pulled off a thrilling two-wicket win over Australia A in Kanpur to clinch the unofficial ODI series 2-1, chasing down a challenging target of 317. The star of the show was Prabhsimran Singh, who smashed a brilliant 102 off just 68 balls. His aggressive knock, which included eight fours and seven sixes, laid the foundation for the chase. He shared a rapid 83-run opening stand with Abhishek Sharma in just over 11 overs, giving India A early momentum.

After quick wickets fell, captain Shreyas Iyer and Riyan Parag took charge, adding 117 runs off 92 balls for the fourth wicket. Iyer scored 62 off 58 balls, while Parag matched him with a 62 off 55. Their partnership kept India A on track, but legspinner Tanveer Sangha turned the game around by dismissing both batters in back-to-back overs. He also removed all-rounder Nishant Sindhu, and Todd Murphy added pressure with two wickets in two balls, leaving India A at 301 for 8.

Despite the collapse, Vipraj Nigam and Arshdeep Singh held their nerve. Their unbeaten 21-run stand for the ninth wicket guided India A home with 24 balls to spare, sealing a memorable series win.

Earlier in the match, Arshdeep and Harshit Rana had rocked Australia A’s top order, reducing them to 44 for 4. Arshdeep dismissed both openers, while Rana removed Harry Dixon and Lachlan Hearne. Cooper Connolly tried to revive the innings with a quick 64, but Australia A were again in trouble at 135 for 6. Captain Jack Edwards and Liam Scott then stitched together a 152-run partnership for the seventh wicket, helping their side reach 316 before being bowled out in the final over. Arshdeep and Rana finished with three wickets each, playing key roles with both ball and bat in India A’s series-clinching victory.
