Panjiyars Cricket Academy Beat Greater Noida Cricket Club by 5 Wickets
Panjiyars Cricket Academy chased down 221 with confidence, thanks to a brilliant century by Ayush Joshi. They won the match by 5 wickets in 34.2 overs.
The match between Greater Noida Cricket Club and Panjiyars Cricket Academy turned into an exciting contest where the bowlers dominated early, but a strong chase from Panjiyars rescued the game. Greater Noida Cricket Club batted first and posted 221 runs in 39.4 overs. Their innings started slowly, with early wickets putting pressure on the side.
Kush worked hard for his 28 runs, but the innings really lifted when Adhiraj walked in and smashed a quick and important 61 off just 39 balls. Abhishek Sharma also played a steady knock of 47 runs.
However, frequent wickets at the other end did not allow GNCC to build a big partnership. Harsh was the star with the ball for Panjiyars, picking up four wickets and breaking the momentum at crucial stages. Aman Singh Thakur also bowled well and took three wickets, helping restrict GNCC to a modest total.
Chasing 222, Panjiyars Cricket Academy had a shaky start with Harsh getting out for a duck on the very first ball. But opener Ayush Joshi took full responsibility and played one of the best innings of the tournament. His confident stroke play and calm approach took the match away from GNCC. Ayush scored a brilliant 111 off 97 balls, hitting 16 fours and 2 sixes.
He was well supported by Aman Singh Thakur, who made 62 valuable runs and built a strong partnership that laid the foundation for the chase. Later, small but useful contributions from Vishesh and Dhruvv ensured that Panjiyars stayed ahead in the game. The team crossed the target comfortably in 34.2 overs with 5 wickets in hand.
For GNCC, Karan tried his best with the ball and picked up two wickets, but the total was not enough to defend. In the end, Panjiyars Cricket Academy’s strong batting, especially the century from Ayush Joshi, was the biggest difference. It was a confident and well-deserved victory for Panjiyars as they secured a 5-wicket win.
