Pakistan will visit Sri Lanka in January 2026 to play three T20 matches
Pakistan will start preparing for the 2026 T20 World Cup with a three-match T20I series in Sri Lanka in early January. The Salman Agha-led team will play all three games in Dambulla on January 7, 9 and 11.
This short tour is Pakistan’s first white-ball series of the new year. The PCB said it will give the team good practice before the World Cup, which will also be held in Sri Lanka.
In the last six months, Pakistan have played a lot of T20I cricket. Since the end of the PSL in May 2025, they have played against Bangladesh (home and away), the West Indies, two tri-series, the Asia Cup, and South Africa at home. They won all except the away series in Bangladesh and the Asia Cup final, which they lost to India.
Sri Lanka recently toured Pakistan for three ODIs and a tri-series that also included Zimbabwe.
After the Sri Lanka T20Is, Pakistan will host Australia for three T20Is in late January. Then they return to Sri Lanka for the World Cup starting February 7.
Pakistan are in Group A for the World Cup, with matches in Colombo against India, Namibia, the Netherlands, and the United States.
