Pakistan Hold Their Nerve to Beat UAE in Thrilling Contest

Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan vs United Arab Emirates: Pakistan beat United Arab Emirates by 41 runs and qualified for the Super 4 round.

Pakistan had to fight hard for this one! In a really close match at the Asia Cup, they managed to beat the UAE by 41 runs. It looked like the UAE might actually pull off a huge upset, but Pakistan's bowlers stepped up in a big way. They totally dominated the second half of the game, taking out the UAE's batsmen one by one to win the match and move on to the next round of the tournament. It was a great comeback after a tough time with the bat.

Pakistan’s Innings

Pakistan's cricket team had a really tough time batting against the UAE in their Asia Cup game. They scored 146 for 9 wickets in 20 overs.

The UAE bowlers were on fire and made it very hard for Pakistan's batsmen to score runs. Two of their bowlers, Junaid Siddique and Simranjeet Singh, were the stars of the show. Junaid took an amazing four wickets, and Simranjeet grabbed three wickets, almost single-handedly wrecking Pakistan's batting order.

For Pakistan, only Fakhar Zaman played well, scoring 50 runs. He was the only one who seemed comfortable at the crease. Another player, Shaheen Afridi 29*(14), hit some quick runs at the end, but it was too little, too late. The rest of the team struggled badly, with most of them getting out for very low scores.

Now, it's all up to the Pakistani bowlers to try and defend this small total and somehow win the match. The UAE team needs to score only 147 runs to win and make a huge upset.

UAE’s Innings

Pakistan's bowlers completely turned the game around. Chasing 147, the UAE's batsmen couldn't handle the pressure and fell short, ending their innings at just 105 runs.

The UAE started off okay, but once Pakistan's bowlers found their rhythm, it was over. The wickets started falling fast, and the UAE just couldn't build a good partnership. Rahul Chopra was the only one who put up a fight, scoring 37 runs, but he didn't get any help from his teammates.

Pakistan's bowlers were the real stars. Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi were amazing, both taking two wickets and bowling with a lot of speed and control. The spinners, Abrar Ahmed and Saim Ayub, also did a fantastic job, making it tough for the batsmen to score and getting crucial wickets.

In the end, the UAE's challenge was shattered and Pakistan celebrated a hard-fought victory.
