SMAT 2025: Nitish Rana to Lead Delhi in SMAT 2025 with 23-Member Squad

Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Nitish Rana has been appointed as the captain of Delhi for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which kicks off across various centres on November 26.

Nitish Rana has been named as the captain of Delhi for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, which begins on Wednesday. The announcement was made by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Saturday.

Ayush Badoni, who has been leading Delhi across formats recently, is also part of the squad. Senior players Ishant Sharma, Harshit Rana, and Navdeep Saini have been included as well, though their participation will depend on availability.

One notable absence is Digvesh Rathi, the mystery spinner who impressed with the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025. However, Delhi’s squad does feature other IPL names such as Suyash Sharma, Simarjeet Singh, Anuj Rawat, and Prince Yadav.

Delhi has been placed in Elite Group D, alongside Jharkhand, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, and Uttarakhand.
