MI Emirates sign Pollard and Pooran as special additions

ILT20: The fourth edition of the tournament will take place between December 2 to January 4, with Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

MI Emirates have strengthened their squad for the upcoming International League T20 season by adding Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran as Wildcard picks. The announcement was made on Wednesday, ahead of the tournament’s fourth edition.

Pollard, a T20 legend with 18 titles to his name the most by any player returns after winning the ILT20 trophy in 2024, adding to his impressive haul that includes five IPL titles, two Champions League T20 trophies, and two MLC titles. Pooran, also a key figure in MI’s global setup, lifted the ILT20 trophy in 2024 and has two MLC titles with MI New York in 2023 and 2025.

With the squad now finalised, MI Emirates will begin pre-season training soon. Their campaign kicks off on December 4 against the Gulf Giants, while the tournament opener will feature Dubai Capitals vs the Desert Vipers on December 2.
