Jammu & Kashmir Vs Delhi
In Ranji Trophy, Paras Dogra scored his 34th first-class century, and Abdul Samad added 85 runs to help Jammu & Kashmir take a 99-run lead over Delhi. Despite Simarjeet Singh’s six-wicket haul, Delhi couldn’t stop the hosts from gaining the upper hand.
Meghalaya Vs Arunachal Pradesh
Meghalaya’s Akash Choudhary smashed the fastest fifty in first-class cricket, reaching the mark in just 11 balls. He also became the first batter to hit eight sixes in a row, including six in one over off Arunachal Pradesh’s Limar Dabi.
Hyderabad Vs Rajasthan
Hyderabad’s wicketkeeper-batter Rahul Radesh, who started the day on 15, went on to score 129 and took his team to 364. Rajasthan struggled in reply, falling to 117/5 before a century stand between Kunal Singh Rathore and Kukna Ajay Singh steadied the innings.
Jharkhand Vs Baroda
Jharkhand’s Kumar Kushagra, overnight on 133, completed his double century and helped his team post 506 against Baroda. He shared a 118-run partnership with Sahil Raj for the seventh wicket. Raj then struck early with the ball as Jharkhand ended the day in control.
Bengal Vs Railways
Sumanta Gupta scored his maiden first-class hundred with a knock of 120, helping Bengal reach 474. Railways were in trouble at 97/5 by stumps, with Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal picking up four wickets.
Chhattisgarh Vs Uttar Pradesh
Mayank Verma, the wicketkeeper from Chhattisgarh, hit his first first-class century and helped his team reach 377, adding 176 runs to their overnight score. In Kanpur, Shivam Mavi smashed his maiden century off just 87 balls as Uttar Pradesh declared at 535/6.
Mumbai Vs Himachal Pradesh
Mumbai’s Shams Mulani scored 69 and added valuable lower-order runs with Tushar Deshpande, taking the team to 446. The pair added 75 for the ninth wicket. Deshpande then took two wickets as Himachal Pradesh collapsed to 94/7.
Manipur Vs Mizoram
Al Bashid Muhammed’s 126 lifted Manipur to 400 from an overnight score of 201/3 in their match against Mizoram.
Tripura Vs Assam
Vijay Shankar remained unbeaten on 150 to power Tripura to 602/7 against Assam in Agartala. Hanuma Vihari, who was on 143 overnight, added only 13 more runs to his total.
Top bowling performances
Karnataka Vs Maharashtra
Karnataka added just 56 runs to their overnight score of 257/5, getting bowled out for 313. However, Shreyas Gopal made a strong impact with the ball, taking a key wicket to break Maharashtra’s 98-run opening stand and picking up more wickets to keep the pressure on. Maharashtra looked solid at one point, especially with Prithvi Shaw’s quickfire 71, but Gopal’s spell ensured they didn’t take full control.
Tamil Nadu Vs Andhra Pradesh
Tamil Nadu managed to take a narrow five-run lead thanks to Sandeep Warrier’s four-wicket haul. Shaik Rasheed fought hard for Andhra with an unbeaten 87, but lacked support from the other end.
Gujarat Vs Services
Gujarat’s Siddharth Desai picked up five wickets to bowl out Services for 248. Gujarat ended Day 2 in a good position, trailing by 77 runs with six wickets still in hand.
Chandigarh Vs Punjab
Chandigarh gained a 31-run lead after bowling out Punjab for just 142, with Nishunk Birla and Vishnu Kashyap sharing seven wickets. In their second innings, Chandigarh reached 168/7 by stumps, with Harpreet Brar taking three wickets to keep Punjab in the contest.
Saurashtra Vs Kerala
Jaydev Unadkat led from the front with a four-wicket haul for Saurashtra, but Kerala still managed a 73-run first-innings lead. Rohan Kunnummal top-scored with 80, while Baba Aparajith’s 69 helped build crucial partnerships down the order in Thiruvananthapuram.
