GBT20 League: Kaushambi Dominators reach the Final with a big 10-wicket win

Semifinal 1: The semi-final between Vaishali Jaguars and Kaushambi Dominators turned out to be a completely one-sided contest. The Dominators showed their strength in both bowling and batting, crushing the Jaguars by 10 wickets to book their place in the grand final.

Vaishali Jaguars’ Innings

Batting first, the Jaguars had a rocky start. Rishabh Dral hit a six early but was out for just 8 runs, while Sunil Kumar Dalal and Aman fell quickly, leaving the team under pressure. The only shining light was Manjeet, who played a brilliant knock of 65 runs off just 36 balls, smashing 4 fours and 6 sixes. His attacking batting gave the Jaguars some hope.

Apart from Manjeet, only Deepak Kumar showed some resistance, scoring 29 runs from 29 balls. However, the rest of the batting lineup collapsed, with four players getting out for single-digit scores. In the end, the Jaguars were bowled out for just 126 runs in 16.3 overs.

For the Dominators, the bowlers did an excellent job. Vikash Dixit was the top performer with 3 wickets, while Ramesh Prasad and Arun Chaprana grabbed 2 wickets each. Manish Sehrawat and Prashant Chaudhary also chipped in with a wicket each, making sure the Jaguars never settled.

Chasing 127 in a semi-final could have been tricky, but the Dominators made it look effortless. Opener Arun Chaprana has played the innings of the tournament so far. He smashed the Jaguars’ bowlers to all parts of the ground, scoring a breathtaking 97 not out off just 41 balls. His innings included 8 fours and 9 sixes, showing pure dominance.

At the other end, Kaif Ahmed played a steady role with 28 not out from 31 balls, making sure the team stayed calm. Together, the pair stitched an unbeaten partnership and chased down the target in only 12 overs.
