Yashasvi Jaiswal will play for Mumbai in their Ranji Trophy match against Rajasthan starting November 1 in Jaipur. This will be his first Ranji appearance for Mumbai since rejoining the team.

India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is expected to play in the next round of the 2025–26 Ranji Trophy, starting November 1. Mumbai will face Rajasthan in Jaipur in an Elite Group D match. Jaiswal has just returned from Australia, where he was part of India’s ODI squad, and wants to stay match-ready ahead of the home Test series against South Africa beginning November 14 in Kolkata.

This move follows the BCCI’s directive that all contracted players should take part in domestic games when available. Jaiswal has already informed Mumbai’s chairman of selectors, Sanjay Patil, about his availability. The squad for the Rajasthan match will be picked after the current round ends on Tuesday.

If selected, this will be Jaiswal’s first game for Mumbai since May, when he rejoined the team after initially requesting a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to play for Goa. His last match for Mumbai was against Jammu & Kashmir at the BKC ground the same game where Rohit Sharma made headlines with a rare Ranji appearance following a tough tour of Australia.

Jaiswal’s most recent domestic outing came in August, when he played for West Zone in the Duleep Trophy opener in Bengaluru. Mumbai started their Ranji season with a win over Jammu & Kashmir, but rain has affected their chances of securing another win in their home game against Chhattisgarh.
