Andhra dominated the opening day against Uttar Pradesh in Kanpur, thanks to a brilliant 142 from KS Bharat his 11th first-class century. He shared a 93-run opening stand with Abhishek Reddy and followed it up with a massive 194-run partnership with Shaik Rasheed, who remained unbeaten on 94. Andhra ended the day at 289/3.

In Coimbatore, Ishan Kishan led Jharkhand’s charge with an unbeaten 125, his ninth first-class ton. After Jharkhand lost early wickets to Gurjapneet Singh’s triple strike, Kishan teamed up with Sahil Raj for a 150-run stand, taking the team to 307/6 by stumps.

Goa’s Abhinav Tejrana had a dream debut, scoring an unbeaten 130 against Chandigarh. His maiden century, along with Lalit Yadav’s support, helped Goa reach 291/3. The duo added 177 runs for the fourth wicket after Vishnu Kashyap picked up the first three wickets.

Mumbai recovered from early trouble against Jammu & Kashmir, thanks to Siddhesh Lad’s 11th first-class century and Shams Mulani’s unbeaten 79. Reduced to 141/4, the pair added 159 runs for the fifth wicket, taking Mumbai to 336/5.

Ajay Mandal’s fifth first-class century helped Chhattisgarh bounce back from 49/5 against Rajasthan in Rajsamand. He built key partnerships with Ashutosh, Aditya Sarwate, and Vashudev Bareth to guide his team to 287/7.

Ruturaj Gaikwad played a crucial knock for Maharashtra, scoring 93 before falling just short of a century against Kerala. Jalaj Saxena chipped in with 49 as Maharashtra tried to recover from a shaky start.

Vidarbha’s Aman Mokhade scored his maiden first-class century, an unbeaten 148, to help the defending champions post 302/3 against Nagaland. He was supported by Dhruv Shorey (64) and Yash Rathod (66), with century stands shared by both.

Delhi’s top order bounced back from early setbacks against Hyderabad. Sanat Sangwan, Ayush Badoni, and Ayush Doseja all scored fifties, with Doseja registering his maiden half-century. Delhi ended the day at 256/3.

Himachal Pradesh recovered from 35/4 against Puducherry, thanks to half-centuries from Ekant Sen and Mayank Dagar. Their 129-run partnership helped the team reach 176/5 by stumps.

Sikkim’s Gurinder Singh and Kranti Singh rescued their side from 92/5 to 265/7 against Manipur. Their 149-run stand for the sixth wicket was the highlight, while Bishworjit Konthoujam took four wickets for Manipur.

Bihar dominated Arunachal Pradesh in Patna. After bowling them out for just 105, Sakib Hussain claimed his maiden five-wicket haul (6/41). Ayush Loharuka then smashed his second first-class century, supported by fifties from Arnav Kishor and Sakibul Gani, taking Bihar to 283/2.

Odisha were in trouble at 49/4 against Baroda, but Subhranshu Senapati (79) and Rajesh Dhupar (76) added 156 runs to take the team to 205/5 by stumps.

Karnataka’s batting was steady against Saurashtra, with Devdutt Padikkal, Karun Nair, and Smaran Ravichandran all scoring fifties. Padikkal and Karun added 166 for the third wicket, while Smaran and Shreyas Gopal put on an unbeaten 81-run stand to end the day at 295/5.

Bowling Highlights – Day 1

Kerala’s MD Nidheesh starred with a four-wicket haul, reducing Maharashtra to 179/7. The visitors had a nightmare start, losing their first four wickets without scoring a run.

Saransh Jain delivered a career-best 6/75 to bowl Punjab out for 232. Madhya Pradesh ended the day at 6/0. Despite several Punjab batters getting starts, only Uday Saharan crossed fifty.

Bengal’s bowlers worked as a unit to dismiss Uttarakhand for 213 in Kolkata. Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal led the attack with four wickets, while Mohammed Shami and Ishan Porel took three each. Bengal were 8/1 at stumps.

Haryana clawed back against Railways in a 16-wicket day in Surat. After being bowled out for 171, Sumit Kumar’s 4-fer helped reduce Railways to 93/6. Parth Vats was the only batter to score a fifty, while Zubair Ali and Akash Pandey picked three wickets each for Railways.

In Ahmedabad, Siddharth Desai’s triple strike kept Assam to 218/6. Pradyun Saikia top-scored with 70 his maiden first-class fifty while Riyan Parag added 40.

Services posted 246/6 against Tripura, thanks to fifties from Shivam Kumar (72), Ravi Chauhan (90), and Nakul Sharma (64*). Swapnil Singh took three wickets, while Parvez Sultan’s double strike triggered a mini-collapse from 133/1 to 143/5.
