IPL 2025 Halted Due to Rising Tensions Between India and Pakistan
IPL 2025: The BCCI confirmed on Friday that the remainder of the Indian Premier League 2025 has been suspended amid escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan.
IPL 2025 has been suspended due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made this decision, and an official announcement will be made soon.
This situation arose after the Indian Premier League (IPL) chose to cancel Thursday’s match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) during the first innings. Since the airports in Dharamsala and nearby areas were closed, the players and support staff from PBKS and DC took a special train arranged by the IPL to travel to Delhi on Friday morning.
Currently, IPL 2025 has completed 58 matches, including the one that was cancelled in Dharamsala. There are still 12 games left to be played in the group stage, scheduled to take place in Lucknow (2), Hyderabad, Ahmedabad (3), Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru (2), Mumbai, Jaipur, followed by the playoffs in Hyderabad and Kolkata.
