India’s World Cup win earns ₹51 crore prize from BCCI
Women's ODI World Cup: BCCI Announces Record-Breaking Bonus After India’s Historic World Cup Win. Team India clinched their first-ever ICC Women’s World Cup title by defeating South Africa by 52 runs at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium.
After India’s historic win over South Africa in the 2025 ICC Women’s World Cup final at DY Patil Stadium, the BCCI has announced a massive ₹51 crore cash prize for the team.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the news, saying the reward will be shared among players, selectors, and support staff led by coach Amol Muzumdar. He also clarified that this amount is being paid directly by BCCI, without using any ICC funds.
This bonus comes on top of the ICC’s prize money, which was increased to USD 4.48 million (around ₹42 crore) for the winners nearly triple what Australia’s women got in 2022 and more than what the men’s team received in 2023.
India’s victory marks their first-ever Women’s World Cup title a moment to remember.
