This also implied that Australia which triumphed in the championship in the 2021 season would not go any further. Afghanistan will now be playing with South Africa in the first semifinal which is set to start shortly. In this match, one team will be sure of getting to the final of the T20 World Cup for the very first time after nine editions.

However, inclement weather started to rain during the two semifinals at two different centers on the same day.

Semifinals Weather Forecast for T20 WC 2024:

The quarterfinals will occur at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad and the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday. The weather forecast shows that it will rain a lot during the week, and there might be thunderstorms during the second semifinal between India and England in Guyana.

Weather on June 26 in Tarouba: On Wednesday evening, it won't rain in Tarouba. But the sky will stay cloudy all night for the South Africa vs. Afghanistan game.

Guyana weather on June 27: There might be rain in the morning that could affect the India-England semifinal starting at 10:30 am. The chances of rain increase later in the day, especially between 5-6 pm.

The Prediction of the Semifinals - 

The semifinal between South Africa and Afghanistan will happen on Wednesday night (6:30 am Thursday in India). If it rains, they have an extra day to finish the game. The championship match is scheduled for Saturday in Barbados, allowing groups to make the journey.

The second semifinal between India and England starts in Guyana at 10:30 am (8:00 pm Thursday in India). If it rains during this match, they don't have an extra day, but they can extend the playing time by 250 minutes to finish the game.

So, South Africa will go to the final if it rains. India will also beat England if their game in Guyana gets rained out.
