The GB T20 featured another exciting match as the Harnandi Gladiators surprised the Rajendra Nagar Royals by winning by 6 wickets in a high-scoring game. Facing a tough target of 213 runs, the Gladiators displayed strong batting skills and patience to achieve their second consecutive win of the tournament.
Royals’ Power-Packed Innings
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Rajendra Nagar Royals started strong. Abhijeet Sharma set the tone by scoring 64 runs off just 28 balls, hitting 5 fours and 6 big sixes. His fast start helped build a big total.
He received solid support from Vikash Singh, who scored 63 runs off 43 balls, keeping the runs flowing. Prateek Raman added more excitement in the middle overs with 46 runs off 26 balls, and Harshit Sethi chipped in with a quick 21 runs off 11 balls. With these performances, the Royals finished their innings with an impressive score of 212/7 in 20 overs.
Gladiators’ Commanding Chase
Chasing a big score was always going to be tough, but the Gladiators got off to a strong start. Naman Sharma scored a quick 42 runs off 21 balls, giving his team the early boost they needed. Once he got out, the Royals thought they had a chance, but the game turned completely after that.
Rahul Dagar stood out as the key player of the night with an impressive unbeaten 90 runs off 52 balls. He played carefully and kept the runs coming at a good pace. Alongside him, Puneet Mehra contributed with 55 runs off 31 balls, attacking the bowlers when necessary and taking some pressure off Dagar. Their important partnership kept the chase on track.
Even though the Royals’ bowlers Hitesh Sharma, Aryan Chaudhary, Kushagra Sharma, and Lokesh Nagar managed to take one wicket each, they couldn’t stop the runs from flowing. The Gladiators reached their target in 19.2 overs, finishing at 213/4 and securing a fantastic win.
