First India Vs England T20I: Schedule
Shami will be making a comeback in the series after a long time.
The Indian team will be led by Suryakumar Yadav for the five-test series of the First T20I starting today at 7 PM at the Eden Gardens Kolkata. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami is set to return to the Indian team after being away for over a year. Axar Patel has been given a bigger role as he will be the vice-captain for the five-match series.
England's squad has been already announced for the match. Whereas Josh Buttler will not be doing the wicketkeeping for the whole series.
India has won five out of their last seven T20I matches against England. The last time they played each other in a T20I was during the 2024 ICC Men's T20 Cricket World Cup, where India achieved a memorable win in the semi-final.
