Despite losing Hridoy and a couple of other batsmen, the team held their nerve. Shamim Hossain played a breathtaking cameo at the end, hitting a couple of crucial boundaries to guide the team home. For Sri Lanka, Wanindu Hasaranga was the standout bowler, taking two wickets and keeping the runs tight. Captain Dasun Shanaka also took two wickets in the final overs, which almost turned the game around. But in the end, the efforts of Saif Hassan and Towhid Hridoy proved to be too much, giving Bangladesh a memorable win.
