Bangladesh sticks with the same squad for the T20I series against Pakistan
The Bangladesh men’s team has announced their squad for the upcoming three T20I series against Pakistan, and it's the same squad that recently featured in the 2-1 series victory against Sri Lanka away from home.
Bangladesh has named the same squad for their three-match T20I series against Pakistan, keeping the team unchanged after their 2–1 win over Sri Lanka. The matches will be played in Dhaka at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on July 20, 22, and 24 all under lights.
Pakistan has already arrived in Dhaka, and the Bangladesh squad returned there on Thursday after their strong eight-wicket win in Colombo, which helped them bounce back from being 0–1 down in the series.
Litton Das made history by becoming the first Bangladesh captain to win two overseas T20I series. He also led the team to a 3–0 win against the West Indies last December.
Bangladesh’s batting looks solid, with Tanzid Hasan, Litton, Towhid Hridoy, and Shamim Hossain all scoring key runs in the Sri Lanka series. Mahedi Hasan starred with the ball in the last match, taking 4 for 11, while Rishad Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman kept things tight with economy rates under six.
However, Bangladesh will keep a close eye on the pitch conditions in Dhaka, as heavy monsoon rains could affect match readiness. They’ll also be looking to bounce back from their last T20I series against Pakistan, where they lost 3–0 in Lahore. Pakistan holds a strong record against Bangladesh, winning 19 out of 22 matches between the two teams.
