Australia's busy summer is marked by India's white-ball tour
India will play a five-T20I and three-ODI series in October and November in Australia.
India is going to visit Australia this year in later month in order to play the eight white-ball games as the home summer are fixed by the Cricket Australia. Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed the schedule for the Ashes and announced on Sunday (March 30) that the Australian men's team will play in every state and territory during the home summer for the first time.
India will start their tour with three One Day Internationals (ODIs) on October 19, 23, and 25 in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney. After that, the teams will go to Canberra for the first T20 match, with the next four matches taking place in Melbourne, Hobart, the Gold Coast, and Brisbane.
Before India arrives, Australia will host South Africa for three T20 matches and three ODIs. A special highlight of this series is the return of the Darwin stadium as an international venue after 17 years. The stadium last hosted Bangladesh in 2008 and will now see South Africa play the first two T20 games there, with the final match in Cairns. The ODI series will also begin in Cairns before moving to Mackay for the last two matches.
After all these white-ball games, the Australian team will take a 12-day break before the first Test of the Ashes in Perth on November 21. This break may allow Australia's top players to participate in the T20 series against India, especially with the next T20 World Cup coming up in February 2026.
