Australia Crushes Pakistan by 107 Runs in a One-Sided Contest
Woman's ODI World- Pakistan Vs Australia: Australia displayed their dominance once again as they thrashed Pakistan by 107 runs.
Australia continued their winning momentum with a commanding 107-run victory over Pakistan. After being put into bat, the Aussies posted a challenging total of 221 runs, thanks to Beth Mooney’s brilliant 109 off 114 balls and a late attacking fifty from Alana King. In reply, Pakistan’s batting lineup fell apart early and never recovered, getting bundled out for 114 runs in 36.3 overs.
Kim Garth and Annabel Sutherland led the bowling charge, sharing five wickets between them, while Gardner, King, and Wareham chipped in to seal a comprehensive win.
Australia’s Innings
Australia had a shaky start, losing both openers, Alyssa Healy (20) and Phoebe Litchfield (10) with just 30 runs on the board. The middle order struggled too, with Perry, Sutherland, and Gardner all falling cheaply.
However, Beth Mooney stood tall amid the collapse, anchoring the innings beautifully. Her elegant 109 off 114 balls, filled with 11 fours, steadied Australia and ensured the scoreboard kept ticking. She received crucial support late in the innings from Alana King, who smashed a quick 51 off 49 balls*, including 3 fours and 3 sixes, giving Australia a strong finish.
Despite Pakistan’s disciplined spin bowling from Nashra Sandhu (3/37) and Rameen Shamim (2/29), Australia’s lower order ensured the team crossed the 220-run mark — a total that proved far too much for Pakistan to chase.
Pakistan’s Innings
Chasing 222, Pakistan’s innings never got going. They lost wickets in clusters right from the start — Sadaf Shamas (5) and Muneeba Ali (3) departed early, leaving Pakistan struggling at 24/2.
The only resistance came from Sidra Ameen, who played patiently for 35 runs off 52 balls, but lacked support at the other end. The rest of the batting lineup crumbled against Australia’s tight bowling and sharp fielding.
Kim Garth was outstanding with the new ball, taking 3 wickets for just 14 runs, while Annabel Sutherland (2/15) and Megan Schutt (2/25) made sure Pakistan never found momentum.
The lower order added a few runs, but once Nashra Sandhu and Rameen Shamim fell, Pakistan’s innings ended at 114 — handing Australia a dominant 107-run victory.
